• Adena is the unit of trade.
• Opaque potion can make you blind for 8 minutes.
• You can run away from an enemy.
• Lead monster walk around and let other people kill it. Don't restart if not necessary.
• Hunt together.
• Frog is the weakest monster, then come to Orc, orc archer and dwarf.
• When you don't have a sheild, equip a two-hand weapon.
• Stand and do nothing to recover HP faster.
• If you carry too many things, you cannot recover HP (exception for elves with elven cloak).
• Elder, Dwarf wull always attack Chaotic player first.
• Run to guards if some pk attack you.
• Click restart if you are closed to death.
• If you wear a cursed item, use p-scroll to remove it.
• Don't yell, and you won't need to worry about the food.
• Becareful of lag (server delay)
• Make some friends and they will help you.
• Sell some stuff you don't need to get more adena.
• Don't wear good stuff unless you are Lv 8.
• A good weapon is less important than good armor.
• You can join a pledge but don't beg for items.
• Dorin won't let you put items unless you are lv5.
• If you attack or kill a neutral/lawful player, guard will kill you once.
• No loss in duel field, even died by guards.
• Chaotic can't buy from shops (except Balsim).
• Always visit this site to get new information.

There is no difference between male and female.
Knight is good at str or con, but short in magic.
Prince/princess is good at chr, and can create pledge. The number of pledge memners is determined by chr X 2.
Elf is very avreage, usually with low str and high dex. Elf can takes advantage of using elven items. Elf currently has the best magic ability. However, undead monster will always hit elf first. The nightvision for elf is useful, but don't ever try to hunt a night with only nightvision. Also at night elf drinks opaque potion won't blind. With the new update, elves can shoot arrow at a very fast speed, makes them much better.
Wizard can handle magic well. They also has a great range of status, and it is hard to roll the best wizzard. Some function of states:

Level (Lv) Probability of hit success
Armor Class (AC) Probability of being hit. Some how my test show 10ac get same damage as -2ac.
Health Point (HP) amount of damage you can suffer. You die if it goes to 0.
Magic Point (MP) amount of magic you can cast, useless now.
Strength (Str) Probability of hit success, damage to enemy, amout of goods you can carry.
Dexterity (dex) Chance of hit and being hit
Consitution (con) HP healing speed, hp increase when level up.
Intelligence (int) Useless
Wisdom (Wis) useless
Charisma (Chr) Chr X 2 = number of members allow in peldge.

Editing

In Lineage, almost every names to every speech by NPC can be edited. For example, I renamed Pandora to Sony Store. She still sell the same thing, only the name is changed.

If you want to edit the text file, you must catch the file before it is pack. You can copy the files when they are updating, or go to ftp.shinbiro.com/pub/lineage to download the lin1??p.zip. You can find some new text file in those updates.

Files you should look for in /text directory under lineage.

• string-e.tbl - with all the system message in Lineage
• itemdesc-e.tbl - the description of item when you use kernod school on it
• desc-e.tbl - all the item names, monster names in Lineage
• *.html - the speech of that NPC

Editing the tbl files are very easy. Open them in NotePad, then find the lines you want to change, and change whatever you want. However, you cannot delete a line or insert a new line, therefore the total lines number should be THE SAME after you edit it.

Editing the html files are a bit difficult. You also just have to change whatever you like, but beware of the html tags. If you have no knowledge about HTML you should not edit those files.

If there is any new updates, the old tbl or html file maybe replaced, and all your change will lose. You can edit them again, but you must use the new version of the tbl file, or the game will have error.
